Lori Thicke is a bestselling Canadian author, founder, and speaker. She was born in Toronto and raised in northern Canada. Her memoir, Dreamer’s Daughter (Simon & Schuster, April 2026) became an instant national bestseller. Lori earned an MFA in creative writing from the University of British Columbia then moved to Paris, where she founded the world’s largest translation charity, Translators without Borders. Dreamer’s Daughter is her first book. Today Lori lives in the south of France where she is working on a novel.
Eleanor Beardsley is an award-winning journalist and the Paris correspondent for NPR — National Public Radio — where she covers all aspects of French society, politics, economics, culture and gastronomy. She is also a core part of NPR’s breaking news team in Europe and beyond, and has been a key part of the coverage of the war in Ukraine.
